#32 - heroes and romantics
Heroes are humans, too. They fall in love, get their hearts broken, and drink their sorrows away - all while trying to further their cause for what they deem to be the greater good. They are more than just names to memorize, and their friends and lovers, more than just adornments. For this day of hearts, I made the strip above inspired by Ambeth Ocampo’s wonderful book “Rizal Without the Overcoat” (just to be clear, my Facebook adaptation is a work of fiction). If you don’t have access to the book, you can read more about the near history-altering Rizal-Boustead-Luna affair by clicking here.
Happy Valentines Day, everyone! ^_^

You’ve got an xkcd vibe here, but centered on Filipino culture. You should update more. =)

Jammy Boi: Thanks, dude. : )
Cake: You’re right, XKCD is exactly the inspiration. It’s just that sometimes I feel like no one really reads the stuff I put here. Comments are few and far in between, hence I don’t have much drive to update.
