Sometimes, it’s really difficult to understand my mom. But, she’s cute and I adore her.
Sadly, a lot of Filipinos vote this way, as shown in exit poll results. Why must we be so regionalistic? That incident in 1992 prompted me to never speak in Pangasinense (Pangalatok) again. I was disappointed because my dad and I were pro-Miriam, who was extremely popular at that time. Thinking back, perhaps the actual best choice then was former senator Jovito Salonga, who is one of the few great statesmen in this country. Well, seeing as how Miriam turned out, maybe I should thank my mom for her vote.

yung ganyan..oo na ffeel ko yan lalo na pag kasama ko lola ko.. basta kakilala..yun na yun.. di na siya pwedeng magkamali

nakakainis yung voting by bailiwicks. ang underlying idea kasi dun, palakasan. kung pangalatok yung presidente, mas malakas yung pangasinan sa kanya in terms of projects. kung kapampangan, malakas ang pampanga. hindi tinitignan yung credentials, capability, or character. in the end, ginagamit lang naman ng mga pulitiko yung mga probinsya nila. kapag nanalo, nagkakalimutan na.
