The comics. HoyPinoy! is my take on how it’s like to be a Filipino today. The minimalist style is a critique on the crippling poverty rate here in the Philippines, hence the tag line “we’re not anorexic, just hungry”. Instead of forever complaining about the problems plaguing this country, I thought it best to have my own creative outlet. So, here it is.
The author. Is a twenty-something freelancer who spends most of her waking hours surfing the Internet and designing/typing away on her laptop (though lots of times she’s just getting her torrent fix). An engineer by training, her eyes light up at the sight of numbers and graphs. A self-confessed geek and proud of it. She is a struggling vegetarian who loves to cook at home.
